There’s nothing like being under the starry night sky of Texas. There are millions of stars to look at and the UNT Astronomy department holds a star party on the first Saturday of every month, complete with telescopes to get a better look and explain those very stars to you. The event begins 30 minutes after sundown and is held at the Rafes Urban Astronomy Center. Admission is $5 per person at the door.
If you miss the star party in Denton this weekend, don’t worry! The Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas also holds a star party in Frisco at Frisco Commons Park on the second Saturday of each month. Check out their website to buy tickets, become a member or see their other events!
